Palm Gandolf to be a Windows Mobile 6…Standard Device?

According to the The Boy Genius Report, the Palm Gandolf, or, Treo 500 as it’s now being called, is headed towards the Netherlands on the Vodafone network as an HSDPA device.
The device is said to run WM6 Standard (non-touchscreen), which is a change from all other past Windows Mobile Treo devices that have been released. We could speculate all day on why the Treo 500 is without a touchscreen, but in the end, it’s probably an issue of cost.
