Netvertible: The Next Generation of Netbooks

File under: News
By: Chuong Nguyen | Date: 6-Nov-08 | - Comments

Intel will be releasing a new netbook with a rotating touchscreen, similar to a miniature version of a tablet PC. The new netbook will be released under the CTL 2go PC brand. The netvertible doesn't come with XP Tablet PC edition so there isn't a virtual keyboard or handwriting recognition software built in, but you may be able to load it after. Priced at $499, it has a gig of RAM, 1.6 GHz Atom processor, and WiFi. There is a quick launcher overlay so you can access a lot of the controls via touch. Laptop Mag has a video demonstration for those interested.
