Mobinnova ICE Caught on Video, Reviewed
Remember the Mobinnova ICE? That's the Omnia-like WinMo Touchscreen device that has a secondary 1" OLED (128x96px) screen that can change function depending on what you're doing. Tracy and Matt's blog got a chance to play with the ICE, seen above.
In terms of specs, the ICE runs on a 528MHz Qualcomm CPU, with 256MB ROM and 128MB RAM. The screen is 3" with WQVGA resolution. It's running on quadband GSM with triband UMTS, so you won't be able to get 3G speeds in the US. Click on for full specs.
In the video, the secondary screen seems like somewhat of a novelty - you have to tap the screen just to get it to turn on, plus it is quite dim. Also, we also have old-school-Palm OS launcher buttons that reside on the bottom part of the screen, giving you access to multimedia, settings, etc. When you press on any of these launcher buttons, you're taken to a secondary launcher area that keeps you from going through the Start menu.
