Meet the HTC Snap with New Email Filter Function

Previously known as the HTC Maple, the new HTC Snap will be HTC’s successor to the hugely popular Dash as PCMag reports from CTIA. The Snap is a Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard device with a QVGA screen, a 528MHz CPU, aGPS, 3G, a trackball, plus a large 1500mAh battery. It looks like the first release will be hitting Europe, but we’re pretty confident on a US-release of the device, possibly to T-Mobile.

Update: As we are learning from PhoneScoop, pressing the trackball in the center will open up an email program showing email from a select number of people that you select…that is, your inner circle of people. Pretty cool!

Update 2: According the press release from HTC, the Snap will be coming around in Q2, then will be sold as an unlocked device in the US during the summer. It will be called the HTC S522.
