LG just unwrapped its LG GW550 Windows Phone, which runs on the non-touchscreen Windows Mobile Standard platform. The device looks like it borrowed some design cues from the Nokia E71 (pictured second from the left in the link) down to the navigation buttons at the top of the keyboard to the way the keyboard is arranged with the Q, A, and Z keys linearly displayed in a vertical manner (most QWERTY keyboards place the Z key over one position to the right).
The smartphone has a front-facing QWERTY keyboard and was unveiled at CommunicAsia 2009. The 2.4-inch QVGA display is a non-touchscreen display and the device also includes support for stereo speakers, a 3-megapixel camera, support for 7.2 Mbps HSPA 3G data connectivity, and a 1300 mAh battery.
The device will have support for quad-band GSM and global 3G, though it may be hard pressed to find a spot on AT&T’s lineup–the carrier already carries the Windows Mobile Standard
