Introducing the Samsung Jack – the Next BlackJack

You read that right: the Samsung Jack. Not the BlackJack III, or BlackJack IV, but the Jack. The Epix didn’t inherit the BlackJack name, nor did the Propel Pro…it’s pretty clear by now that AT&T is moving away from that naming convention.

We have to admit that the Jack is one of the better-looking Windows Mobile non-touchscreen devices that we’ve seen. The keyboard is similar to that of the Propel Pro (which was almost as good as that of the Q9h). The overall design and keyboard layout has a hint of BlackBerry Bold in it, wouldn’t you say? Beyond that, the Jack, which is slated to be available on AT&T starting May 19th for a reasonable $99.99 with a two-year (press release), sports WiFi, aGPS, 256MB RAM (which is above average for a phone of this type), plus a 3.2MP camera on the back.

The Jack is looking like a stylish upgrade for the Motorola Q9h fans among us (that is, those of us that like really good keyboards and great one-handed usability). We’ll have more on the Jack soon! Hit the jump for two more pictures, plus a video.
