HTC Touch HD in the House: Unboxing Video

I don’t think there’s been as much love for a Windows Mobile device as there has been for the Touch HD. It sports a HUGE 3.8″ WVGA touchscreen (which is bigger than the iPhone’s screen by .3″) plus a minimal amount of hardware buttons, essentially making the phone one huge screen. It’s absolutely gorgeous.

In hand, the Touch HD feels pretty big because it’s wider and taller than most other Windows Mobile devices. But when you turn on the screen, it’s breathtaking, and quite unusual to see Windows Mobile on such a large canvas. And, with such a large display, the HTC on-screen keyboards become even more usable. More on that later.

If you want one for yourself, head on over to Clove Technology. If you import one to the US, you’ll be able to use it over EDGE on AT&T and T-Mobile in the US – but no 3G, which may be good enough for some (hey, you still have WiFi!).

We’ll be back soon with much more on the Touch HD! Also, take a look at the spec sheet for a rundown of technical details.
