In this video, we cover the hardware of the HTC Hero Android device.
In terms of hardware, the Hero rocks a 3.2″ capacitive touchscreen with 480×320 resolution, which is the same resolution as the Palm Pre, iPhone, and most other Android devices. The device includs the standard Android keys: call start/end, home, search, back, menu, plus a trackball for navigation. While the “chin” may be a questionable design element, it does indeed help the Hero to feel more like a phone and less than a PDA.
We’ll be back soon with more on the Hero, plus a deep look into the Sense UI interface, which takes a lot of cues from HTC’s TouchFLO 3D.
In case you missed it, check out the Hero unboxing.
