HTC HD2 Hardware Tour

Continuing our coverage of the HTC HD2, we take a look at the hardware of the device in this video. It’s no surprise that we find the HD2 to be all about the screen…it goes from edge to edge, leaving just a minimal amount of space for buttons. The five hardware keys on the bottom of the device are not programmable and are adorned in beautiful brushed metal.

Overall, the device has a high quality feel. Glass is used for the screen, and metal and a form of rubber is used to adorn the back.

In terms of specs, the HD2 is packing the 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, plus 448MB of RAM (200MB usable) and 512MB of ROM with microSD memory expansion. It’s a quadband GSM device with dualband (900/2100) plus WiFi, aGPS, and Bluetooth 2.1. It has no front-facing video camera, though the camera on the rear is 5.0MP with two LED flashes. The device sports a cool digital compass which integrates nicely with Google Maps mobile (more on that later). Finally, the HD2 has FM Radio. Powering everything is a 1230mAh battery.
