HKC is making a Pearl–a handset that runs both Windows Mobile and Android–for the Chinese market, a device that steals RIM’s Pearl branding and HTC’s Touch design from the original Touch but adds a trackball. The new Pearl runs two operating systems, similar to the Android on a Touch hack that was demoed.
According to Engadget Mobile, the new device only sports a QVGA display, but comes with 256/128 ROM/RAM, a 2-megapixel shooter, and WiFi.
