In this video I cover the hardware of the Omnia i900. The screen is 3.2″, compared to 3.5″ on the iPhone and 2.8″ on the Touch Diamond. It’s a thin phone with just a 12.5mm profile, versus 11.3mm on the iPhone, and 11.5mm on the Touch Diamond. The device feels quite light weight at 122 grams.
This is the only WinMo touchscreen phone I’ve seen without an inbuilt stylus. There is an external stylus that you can carry around on the lanyard hook, but to avoid having ornaments dangle from your phone, you can use your finger or the optical joystick to navigate with the device.
The microSD card is behind the battery cover, which makes it a bit awkward to change cards. The battery is 1440mAh, which seems like an ample amount of juice for a phone of this type.
More to come!
