If you were envious of Vertu, the premium mobile phone maker that uses rare and precious metals in designing their handsets, you can look for Gresso to bring similar rare and precious materials to Windows Mobile phone. Gresso’s designs are less flashy than Vertu’s, which uses gold, platinum and steel. Gresso’s understated elegance come from aircraft-grade steel and rare 200-year old African wood.

Gresso’s two new phones are essentially similar. The difference being the Avantgarde Sol Steel has a more rounded look with circular buttons wile the Avantgarde Luna Steel has rectangular buttons.

The phones will most likely not come to the US as it is a tri-band GSM model sporting Windows Mobile 6 Standard for non-touchscreen. Display resolution is QVGA 320 X 240, and the units will hav 128/64 MB of ROM/RAM on-board. Bluetooth, microSD expansion slot, and a 1.9 megapixel camera round out the specs. No mention of 3G for fast data access.

Retail availability will most likely be at high end boutiques and pricing information wasn’t disclosed.
