ETEN M500: New Equipment Blog - Day 00

Well... I told you I was bored.

I broke down and made my last major equipment purchase for the year. I bought an ETEN M500. The device should ship tomorrow; and as I recall, is on par with the i-mate JAM in size and weight, although, it might be a scoshe longer and heavier.

Those of you who are familiar with The Gadgeteer will be surprised to hear that this is Julie's M500. She's gone back to her Nokia. The device wasn't quite what she was hoping it would be, even though she said it was pretty cool.

According to ETEN, the device is supposed to get a WM5 upgrade; and there are rumors that it could be released as early as 05-Sep-05. If that's the case, I'm definitely going to upgrade the device when its released.
