E-TEN Glofiish V900 Hardware Tour

The Glofiish V900 is covered in a blue/gray metallic paint, which is unique – but a bit too retro for my tastes. Overall, the device feels solid in hand (thanks to the rubbery backing and large physical size), but it also feels cheap with the abundant use of plastic.

As with other Glofiish devices, E-TEN has added a 2.5mm headphone jack to the V900 – but not a 3.5mm. Speaking of ports, syncing/charging is done via miniUSB, which is good news.

The microSD slot is well placed on the right side of the device and is covered by a sturdy dust cover. Next to the microSD slot is an easily-accessible reset hole. Hopefully I won’t be using that too often!

Finally, the telescoping old-school antenna is a necessary and interesting addition, which helps the device grab over the air TV and FM radio waves. The device can’t use the DVB-T TV functionality in North America, unfortunately.

Next up, we’ll cover the software and interesting features of the device!
