Cingular 8525: The Buzz

File under: News
By: Tim Adams | Date: 14-Dec-06 | Comments
One thing I've noticed since using the Cingular 8525 that I haven't heard much talk about is the amount of interference it generates. My XV6700 is bad, but the 8525 puts it to shame. Every time a data connection is made, any nearby speakers (that are attached via cables) will begin to buzz, pop, and hum - and quite loudly.

What does this mean for me? It means that I have to leave the phone in my office at night, or insure that that any speakers in the bedroom are turned off. A humming wake-up call at 2am is not an enjoyable experience...
