Another User Review – This Time, the Acer M900

Of the four upcoming Acer devices, the M900 probably has the most promise. It’s got a very large 3.8″ WVGA screen, a 533MHz CPU, plus an accelerometer, fingerprint reader, light sensor, oh…and that tasty keyboard. That said, we’ve never been terribly impressed by anything from Acer in terms of Windows Mobile hardware, so we’ll reserve full judgment until we get one in the pocketnow labs for review. Check out PDAdb.net for full specs.

Over in the 4WinMobile forums, a user has posted a quick review of the upcoming Touch Pro2 competitor. Although the review is a bit limited in terms of evaluative detail, we do get a new view of the hardware, plus another detailed look at the 3D home screen. In the bottom left screenshot, we see the “global” application that lets us check weather for a variety of places. In the bottom right application, we get a view into the multimedia application that lets you flip through your music via CD thumbnails. It looks like the Acer interface isn’t just a skin-deep launcher.

Thanks to ZSX for the tip!
