If you’ve been waiting for a MicroDrive larger than 1 GB, maybe you’d be interested in the Magicstor CF drives. They have versions in 2.2 GB, 2.4 GB and 4.8 GB sizes.
I’ve read that the power requirements of these drives may not be suitable for PDAs, but only for digital cameras. However, the company’s Web site (click the Source link) claims compatibility with several Pocket PCs. With the price of the 2.2 GB drive as low as $230, maybe it’s worth trying.
Has anybody used one of these? Would you prefer these to Flash CF memory at this price? Share your thoughts in the discussion.
