1 TB Laptop Hard Drive

With the crazy new SD XC memory card format to support up to 2 TB of data on a portable memory card, news of PureSilicon’s Nitro drive may not be as exciting. However, PureSilicon did come out with a massive portable laptop-sized 2.5-inch solid state hard drive at CES.

The drive maxes out at 1 TB of storage. PureSilicon, the firm behind the Nitro drive, doesn’t intend to release the drive to the public at this stage, which may be a good thing as I can foresee this as being crazy expensive. According to Gizmodo, the drive will probably be unleashed for military use.
