HTC seems to be moving forward with its “one port for everything” plan. That means that if you want to use your own 3.5mm or 2.5mm headphones, you’re really out of luck, unless you’re using HTC’s proprietary headphones or you use a converter jack. I found this listed as an accessory in the packaging of the Touch Pro and thought it to be particularly interesting.
This is the HTC YC A200 Multifunction Audio Cable. It plugs into any HTC device that uses ExtUSB and offers 2.5/3.5mm headphone jacks, and also has a miniUSB port so you can simultaneously charge your device. Too bad it’s a bit large, but if you really want to use a variety of earphones and still charge your device, then the YC A200 could be quite valuable. It’s $19.99 over at Amazon.
