Research in Motion is into something “astonishing” as we have confirmation that the company has bought The Astonishing Tribe (aka TAT), the Swedish group that is responsible for many great user interface concepts as well as implementations, including the Android interface on the T-Mobile G1.
TAT will be focusing on the BlackBerry PlayBook and smartphone platforms and with their talent and skills for both designing and finalizing projects, Research in Motion might hit the jackpot as the user interface on future BlackBerry devices will carry TAT’s signature, offering both eye catching and user friendly features. One of their recent dual screen projects was shown off at CEATEC but make sure to check out their website for more great designs.
