It seems RIM will be all about launching their smartphone line-up, both budget and premium, earlier in the fall than everybody else. I guess the only reason for that to happen is to try to get a head start in sales, as they’ve been kind of stale lately. So far, we just got word on when T-Mobile is launching the new Bold 9900, which is destined mainly at their premium BlackBerry market. It seems they’ll also be complementing that launch with the BlackBerry Curve 9360 according to some leaked photos that mention a September 14th release.
RIM’s BlackBerry Curve 9360 is mainly targeted to the consumer market. It’ll bring some of the sexy looks we’re accustomed to seeing in consumer BlackBerries, but the cheap price tag usually is a direct result of cheaper hardware or lesser specs. So far all we have are the probable launch dates, and the fact the T-Mobile is getting it, so stay tuned as this rumor unfolds within the next coming days.
