This year’s BlackBerry World, “the largest annual gathering for the BlackBerry ecosystem” is scheduled to take place between May 1 and 3, 2012, in Orlando, Florida. There are reports according to which RIM will be showing off and thus launching the BlackBerry 10 OS next month in Barcelona but just where does that leave BlackBerry World?
According to an e-mail from RIM letting people know that BlackBerry World 2012 registrations are starting in February, we can also expect at least the following topics: BlackBerry 10 platform and roadmap (were the MWC rumors just dismissed?), BlackBerry PlayBook tablet OS 2.0 for the enterprise, BlackBerry Mobile Fusion, BlackBerry Business Cloud Services, BlackBerry Mobile Voice System, BlackBerry Enterprise Server management tips and troubleshooting, and trends and vision for the future of wireless from industry experts.
There are still two big questions: first, will we see new devices? Second: what happened to the rumors according to which RIM could consider licensing out its offerings to other OEMs?
