RIM officially introduced the update to the BlackBerry Bold smartphone, the new BlackBerry Bold 9780, which, according to previous rumors we covered, will hit T-Mobile on November 17.
With its compact and stylish design, the handset is operated by the new BlackBerry 6 operating system and sports 512 MB Flash memory and an expandable memory card slot, worldwide 3G network support, WiFi with UMA support, GPS, 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus and flash. With an integrated YouTube app and Facebook, Twitter and MySpace support for your social needs, BlackBerry 6 software promises lots of cool features including a new, fast and powerful WebKit-based browser.
As availability is concerned, the “BlackBerry Bold 9780 smartphone will be available from various carriers around the world beginning in November.” We had an unsubsidized price tag of $499.99 for the Bold 9780 on Bell Canada and now T-Mobile announced the device for $129.99 on a two-year contract for November 17.
