Straight from the beginning, we hope this is nothing major and unlike the huge outage BlackBerry users experienced — that ended up in a huge drama and RIM giving away $100-worth applications for free to make it up to its users.
After initial reports of delayed message delivery, RIM sent out a tweet to let everyone know that they are investigating the alleged issue. Shortly after they updated again saying “BlackBerry services are currently operating normally in EMEIA”. Again, we can just hope the reports were isolated issues and nothing major like the outage that might cost RIM somewhere around $100 million as effect of a class-action suit filed against the company.
