The BlackBerry Bold 9900 and its 9930 cousing, while new models running RIM’s latest BlackBerry OS 7, are plagued with a couple of issues, according to recent reports. Users are complaining in the official BlackBerry Support Community and reporting dead devices.
RIM made an official statement letting the world know that a “limited number of customers have reported an issue where their device does not power on”. No further details were made public, but, as usual, RIM is “actively working on a software update to resolve this issue.” With the recent data outage problems BlackBerry-users are experiencing and the reportedly dead Bold-phones, RIM needs to act quickly and accordingly in order not to lose any more market share.
