We knew to expect Research in Motion’s BlackBerry Mobile Fusion in the first quarter, as last year’s reports indicated. Just a little bit late, the company today launched its “next-generation mobile device management solution for enterprise customers”.
Basically Mobile Fusion allows Government and Business Customers’ IT departments to manage BlackBerry, Android as well as iOS devices, from a single, unified, web-based console. “BlackBerry Mobile Fusion allows organizations to manage a mixed environment of devices in the most secure, simple, and cost efficient manner possible. It also means that businesses and government do not have to move to the lowest common denominator on security for all the devices they need to manage”, said Alan Panezic, Vice President, Enterprise Product Management and Marketing at Research In Motion.
Both smartphones and tablets are supported and the offering comes as a free download, though costs will depend on the number of devices being managed. For more details and pricing, hit up the press release at the source link below.
