HP is expanding the reach of its ePrint system, now releasing a version of the remote-printing app for BlackBerry devices.
The ePrint system lets you choose between printing on both your ePrint-enabled HP hardware and a list of nearby businesses that have signed-on with HP to be publicly-accessible ePrint stations, allowing you to wirelessly transfer your jobs before making the trip to go pick them up. Some of those public locations include FedEx Office stores and hotels in the Hilton chain. The phone’s GPS can even guide you to help track down your printouts.
Apple users already have some access to ePrint as part of the new AirPlay functionality introduced in the iOS 4.2 beta. The free BlackBerry edition of ePrint is available now in the App World or as a manual download from HP’s site.
