Three weeks ago Foursquare for BlackBerry has been updated to version 1.9.96 which fixed a couple of bugs and ironed out some issues but the new version just released, 1.9.97, brings some new features to the table.

If you have a BlackBerry, a Foursquare account and an American Express card, you can now link your Foursquare account to your AmEx card and gain more rewards. Simply put, you check-in with Foursquare at a participating store — tap ‘load to card’ on the Special –, pay with your American Express card, and get big savings on your monthly statement.
