Foursquare for BlackBerry has been recently updated to version 1.9.97 adding the ability to link your Foursquare account to your AmEx card and gain more rewards. However, the application is now available in version 3.0 Alpha and brings some more features.

Aside from the usual bug fixes you’d find in every release, version 3.0 Alpha brings the highly anticipated BlackBerry Messenger integration. There are also some minor changes in the experience such as the Explore feature, suggesting interesting places to check out nearby based on your past checkins, aside from a couple of changes to the UI.
