We know that RIM intends to demonstrate the BlackBerry 10 OS at the Mobile World Congress, starting late next month, but when will we see devices running it actually make it to stores? It seems like the last specific thing we heard was when one of RIM’s co-CEOs mentioned last month that BB10 gear would start arriving in “the latter part of 2012″. Now, some new rumors attempt to nail-down just what hardware RIM has planned for 2012.

We know very little about what devices RIM is working on for BlackBerry 10. We’ve seen a handset called London, as well as a slider called Milan, but supposedly the latter, at least, has been canceled. According to these rumors, whatever the launch BB10 hardware ends up being, it should come out sometime in September. Considering that’s still in Q3, the wait could have been worse.

RIM will supposedly launch a couple new PlayBook models this year, including an LTE-enabled 10-inch tablet in December. As for other smartphones, we’re not hearing much yet. There should be a new pair of Curves for East Asia and Africa, but they won’t be top-tier hardware. What we’d really like to know about is other BB10 models, but so far are just hearing about that one on-track for September.
