Research In Motion’s BlackBerry Mobile Conferencing app was conceived as a tool to make it easier to set up and join multi-user conference calls, handling everything from scheduling calls to rejoining if you get disconnected. The app’s been in the Beta Zone for the last few weeks, but RIM has finally graduated it out to the App World proper.

The app hooks right into your BlackBerry’s calendar, so using it becomes nearly transparent. Once you schedule when the call’s to take place, a reminder will pop up when it’s time to dial-in, and the app itself handles any access codes or call IDs that need to be entered in. You can save call profiles for recurring meetings you need to be involved with.

Admittedly, this Mobile Conferencing tackles a very specific situation that many users won’t end up needing, but it’s a really nice addition for those who regularly get involved with such calls. Considering the business-focused image BlackBerry smartphones project, it seems like a nice fit.

Mobile Conferencing is available for download now, supporting devices running system software 5.0 and later.
