Keeping in touch with friends and co-workers is a unique experience on BlackBerry smartphones thanks to RIM’s BlackBerry Messenger — soon to arrive to Android and iOS — application which just got updated.

The new version available is 5.0.2.12 and while there’s no changelog to go with the update, RIM’s software refreshes usually bring bugfixes and sometimes features. You should receive an update notification on your device and if you’re having problems installing the new version as CrackBerry reports, an ALT + RST should help you out.
