If you are a BlackBerry user, you might be familiar with BlackBerry’s own Maps application (instead of a third party application you might use to suit all your mapping needs).
Besides adding 34 new countries like Australia, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, New Zealand, The Philippines and Taiwan, BlackBerry Maps have been redesigned for an improved (let’s say more Google Maps-ish) look. The new visual appearance and color scheme is backed up with a stronger rendering engine and there’s also a fresh POI database featuring hospitals, universities/colleges, police stations, train/subway stations, shopping centers, parking, parks and airports. To benefit from the new look of the maps, all you have to do is clear the cache on BlackBerry Maps from inside the programs Options and the new color scheme should be automatically revealed when using Maps again.
