For its second shot at product launches last month, RIM announced its new Curve models, the 9350, 9360, and 9370. Of those three, the 9360 is bound for T-Mobile in the US, and we’ve already seen a leak suggesting the smartphone could arrive on September 14. What we haven’t heard is a definitive price, nor news about the handset as anything but a standard on-contract model. Both those points are addressed in a new leak, showing the Curve 9360 getting ready for T-Mobile prepaid service.
According to this document, you’ll be able to snag a 9360 for just shy of $230. Considering the Bold 9900 fetches $300 on-contract, that sounds like a heck of a bargain in comparison. Granted, the Curve is only powered by an 800MHz processor, but you still have the new BlackBerry OS 7 to enjoy.
We still can’t be sure how an on-contract Curve 9360 will be priced for T-Mobile, but it’s going to have to be significantly below $230 anything in the $50 to $150 range would make sense. If the rumored date we’ve heard holds out, we should know in a week.
