It’s not often that we tell you about leaked ROMs for BlackBerry devices, if only because we see so very many released, and nearly always they consist of very small changes barely bumping-up the version number. Today’s a different story, and the BlackBerry Bold 9900 ROM that just leaked includes a new WiFi hotspot feature.
The build is BlackBerry OS 7.0.1.74, and it’s so fresh to arrive that we’re still waiting to hear back reports from 9900 owners who have had a chance to install it and see if there are any other goodies waiting. MobileSyrup notes that it would make sense for this version of the OS to include support for BlackBerry Tag, the NFC tap-to-share solution RIM announced last month in Dubai.
If you feel like trying your luck with the ROM, let us know what you think of the wireless tethering, and keep an eye out for any other changes that may have snuck-in with it.
