Research In Motion has a little treat for BlackBerry users, unveiling the newly-redesigned App World 3.0 website today.
Functionally, much of App World remains the same, with the most noticeable changes affecting the user interface. There’s some back-end stuff that’s been improved, some of it focused on better support for developers crafting content for the PlayBook with its larger screen, but that should be mostly transparent to BlackBerry users. Pages for individual apps are now much more readable, with a new, light background, which feels a bit easier on the eyes.
Apple users should take notice that the new App World finally has full compatibility with Macs, including support for side-loading apps.
The new site is up and live as of now, so head on over, check it out, and see what you think of RIM’s changes.
