Last month, we saw RIM expand the global reach of the BBM Music service it launched earlier this year, bringing BlackBerry users in Italy, Spain, and the UK the opportunity to subscribe. This month, RIM’s got a new version of the app ready to go out, with quite a few new features included.

BBM Music 1.1.0.12 just finished-up a limited beta release, and it’s now available to everyone. While RIM hasn’t provided an official list of features in this new release, it’s presumed that we shouldn’t see any significant changes since the beta.

RIM’s been big on this “gifting” kick lately, adding a “request” feature to the App World. The same sort of thing now finds its way to BBM Music, letting you hit-up your friends to buy you a subscription. Once one of them hooks you up, you’ll be able to share updates of what you’re currently listening to with them and other friends through BBM.

The social aspect of BBM Music is heavily reflected in these updates, with new features like the ability to send invites out over Twitter and Facebook, and sorting your BBM contacts based on what they’ve been listening to. You can also look forward to improved search results, easier playlist creation, and new notifications. The update should be available now in the App World.
