Recently updated to support the latest BlackBerry OS 6 builds (up to 6.x.x.499), BB Boss is a “kitchen” for BlackBerry devices similar to those available for Windows Mobile and Android devices. The program allows you to customize your OS, removing bloat and unwanted applications, allowing you to free up device memory.
The program presents a UI with checkboxes for each of the major system components, such as language support, core applications, media files, themes, etc. Through simple un-ticking of checkboxes the user can remove unwanted programs and other files from their BlackBerry OS image, or directly on the phone itself.
Initial OS size and ending size are shown, tracking exactly how much space each modification will save. This allows the user to decide if each app is worth the space it takes up, and remove it if not. BB Boss offers many more advanced features such as backup and removal of 3rd party applications directly from the device, screenshots, and time/file syncing. Check the source link for a changelog and more information about the advanced features.
