Gone. Everything is gone. My Pocket PC has just performed the equivalent of a hard reset without even asking me.
I suppose it was inevitable when you consider the amount of software I install on my device for review purposes.
Earlier in the week I was merrily trying out “The-Software-Which-Will Remain-Nameless,” putting it through it’s paces and it locked up my device. No big deal, I do soft resets all the time. Except for some reason, when my device restarted, it asked me to tap the screen to begin.
I got that sick feeling in my [...]

Worlebird software has created a Star Trek: The Next Generation skin for the Pocket PC version of Windows Media Player.
From the Worlebird web page:
“This is just a little something we’ve been having fun with while we work. It’s a skin for Windows Media Player for Pocket PC that looks like a tricorder from Star Trek: The Next Generation. We’ve seen a few programs that let you pretend your Pocket PC is a tricorder, but they don’t actually DO anything. Now you can have your own tricorder, and it actually works! Why hasn’t someone integrated a pedometer with a Pocket PC device yet? Or maybe not even the device, but how about combining a Pocket PC case with a pedometer in the bottom. Consider how many people walk around with a Pocket PC attached to their belts. It just seems like a natural progression to add a way to monitor how many steps you’ve walked. I’d even settle for a pedometer that would synch with my desktop.
This isn’t really a new idea. It has been done before, albeit in a somewhat different manner. Once upon a time consumers could purchase the [...]
