David Katz, Yahoo’s VP of Mobile for the American region already announced that there will be an update to the Yahoo Messenger app that will bring video calls to iPhone and Android and a couple of days later Yahoo Messenger users on the iPhone already had the possibility of video chatting as the Yahoo app was updated in the iTunes App Store.
We reported the upcoming T-Mobile myTouch 4G’s official shipping ROM leak yesterday and looks like that specific ROM included Yahoo Messenger for Android that has the video chat solution. The application has been extracted from the leaked ROM and made available publicly. According to the person that did the extraction, it works great on the Evo and it definitely works well over 3G. To have it, you need to download both of the files available and install them as grabbing only the video and voice add-on with the current Yahoo Messenger app available in the Market will not work.
