It’s been a long time since 2D Boy’s World of Goo debuted on the Wii console, but after taking its sweet time, the award-winning game came to the iPhone back in the spring. By now, it’s been over three years since the title first launched, and it’s finally time for Android to join in on the fun, with the app landing today in the Android Market.
Even after so long, the gameplay holds up quite well, demanding that you channel the engineer inside you to turn dozens of goo balls into workable structures, meeting whatever environmental challenges each level throws at you.
There’s a free version of the game that includes the first of its five chapters, and we definitely recommend you check it out before buying. The structures you build bend and sway as you put them together, making precise ball placement tricky at times; if you’re rocking an Android with a smaller display, you’ll want to make sure that screen size doesn’t become an issue while playing. If you like what you see, the full version is a $3 purchase.
