For those of you that like to use your smartphone to constructively fill your idle time, you undoutedbly know about Words with Friends. It’s an iPhone-only game (but not for long) that lets you play Scrabble with anyone else that has the app. The best part about Words with Friends is that a game can stretch on for many days, making it super convenient to only make a move when you have a few minutes to spare. Not only is it fun, but if played regularly, it can help to bolster your vocabulary. It also allows you to play multiple friends at once…either someone random, or a friend.
Alas, Words with Friends isn’t available on Android (or Windows Phone or BlackBerry), but a recent email from the company to AndroidCentral confirms that they are indeed working on the Android port, and it’s almost complete:
We are working on an Android version, but we’re not ready to share much more beyond that. Our goal is that it will be compatible with the iOS version from day one.
Good news indeed!
