If you have a Sprint HTC EVO and you’ve flashed a custom ROM, you may be having problems with your Wi-Max. The problem may not necessarily be with your custom ROM, it may be due to corrupt or missing keys.
If this sounds like a problem you’re having and you have root permissions with busybox installed, XDA developer joeykrim may have a solution for you. He’s come up with a small app to determine if your RSA keys are still where they’re supposed to be.
Head over the thread at XDA-Developers and download the .apk if you think this might be the cause of your Wi-Max headaches.
Of course, that’s only the first step. Getting back missing RSA keys is no easy task! But at least you’ll know if that’s the cause of your troubles.
In the future, make sure you backup your RSA keys before doing anything major with your ROM. Both ClockworkMod Recovery and AmonRa’s Recovery have RSA backup/restore features.
