It was only a few hours ago that we first learned of plans to bring the BlackBerry Bold 9900′s alternate white color option to T-Mobile, thanks to a helpful leak. Maybe T-Mobile’s already got thoughts of winter snow on its mind, as we see it continue with this theme of white smartphone as we learn of plans to bring the Samsung Galaxy S II in white to the carrier.
The white Galaxy S II isn’t anything new on its own, already available at carriers around the globe, but just as the US was late to the Galaxy S II party in the first place, availability of the smartphone in white is similarly on a delayed schedule. Recently, we learned of plans to bring such a model to AT&T’s nascent LTE network, discovering evidence of the Skyrocket clad in white for the carrier.
While T-Mobile’s white Galaxy S II won’t have the benefit of LTE speeds, it does give the carrier another attractive offering to add to its lineup this holiday season. Besides the new white facade, the hardware in this Galaxy S II will go unchanged from what’s currently available with the carrier. Exactly when the model will arrive hasn’t yet been revealed, but if Samsung and T-Mobile want to grab some more holiday sales, they’d be wise to get cracking.
