A few weeks back we got a peek at a new revision of the HTC Droid Incredible 2, swapping out its black facade for a new, silvery one. At the time, all we had was the picture of the phone to go on. Now it’s finally showing up in promotional materials, right on the cover to the September 2011 edition of Best Buy’s phone Buyer’s Guide.
Best Buy will be the exclusive retail source for the new Incredible 2, which is referred to here as white. There’s definitely a metallic look to the pics we saw earlier (which appear to be the same as those used in the Guide, with the introduction of the capacitive Android buttons), making us call it silver, but we can understand how it could be looked-at as white. Unlike the white iPhone, HTC is keeping the Incredible 2′s original dark bezel intact; whether that provides some nice contrast or detracts from an otherwise-white case is a personal judgment call.
Look for the white Incredible 2 to cost about $150, and presumably land sometime in September.
