Last week, a leak out of Italy gave us some information on a whole bunch of upcoming Samsung smartphones. Samsung uncharacteristically spoke up in regards to the reveal, dismissing it as containing some inaccurate data. Some of the details may certainly be wrong, or out-of-date, but we know that at least some of the mentioned models are real; you’ll have to decide for yourself just how far you want to trust the rumors. This week, we haven’t received any additional data on the phones, but a revisit to the source offers us some rough estimates of when some of these phones may arrive.
The GT-I9250 caught our attention as an Android that’s supposed to ship with Ice Cream Sandwich, and could feature a 720p high-def display. It’s slated for late November/early December.
The GT-I9220 is also supposed to get a 720p screen, and may be arriving in late October.
Samsung’s GT-B5510, with a tiny 2.8-inch screen, is planned for a mid-October launch, and the even more petite GT-S5610 should follow it a week or so later.
The GT-I9210 is another big-screen model, with a 4.5-inch WVGA display, and should show up about the same time as the GT-I9250.
We also looked at the GT-I8150 with its 3.7-inch screen and 1.4-GHz single core chip; that one’s on track for a launch the first week of October.
