Sprint sure seems to be putting in quite the effort lately to make sure its subscribers have access to some of the most popular smartphone models. The Galaxy Nexus may be a welcome, if not slightly late addition, but the announcement of HTC EVO 4G LTE was an especially nice treat, stealing away a bit of AT&T’s One X thunder. That’s only the start of things, though, and there’s a new discovery that’s just been made that may suggest another high-profile Android is headed to Sprint.
It’s not being prominently featured, but mouse-over a certain thumbnail on Sprint’s website and you’ll see what looks like another familiar Samsung model pop-up. The carrier appears to be using imagery of a Samsung Galaxy Note, without any visible carrier badging to speak of, and featuring the four-button arrangement used with the phone on AT&T.
Sprint seems anxious to have a very solid base of LTE-supporting phones available as it starts bringing service to markets across the country later this year, and the Note is definitely one of the higher-profile Androids of the past six months. This may be the case of a lazy artist pulling up a generic Android shot to use, but the idea of an LTE Galaxy Note on Sprint does sort of seem like the thing the carrier would be interested in at the moment. If there’s anything to this, we’ll hopefully learn more soon.
