ViewSonic, manufacturer and provider of visual technology, has decided to enter the smartphone game by revealing the ViewSonic 4 Android powered smartphone at the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, just as we reported it might at the end of last month.
The ViewPad 4 runs Google’ Android 2.2 Froyo mobile platform and sports a 1GHz processor, 4.1-inch WVGA display, 5 megapixel auto-focus camera with 720p video recording capability, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi as well as HDMI out. Information related to pricing and availability has not been made public but we can expect the device to hit the market sometime this quarter.
