Besides that snazzy new white exterior, it appears that the Droid 2 World Edition will also feature another change, this one under its hood: a purported 1.2GHz processor, 200Mhz faster than the CDMA-only D2. Droid Life has gotten its hands on a purported screenshot displaying the maximum CPU frequency as 1200MHz, or 1.2GHz; another alleged screencap of the device’s supposed Quadrant benchmark shows it scoring a very high 1581, and Droid Life says a separate run resulted in an even more impressive 1709.
More investigation has apparently revealed that the rest of the internal match those of the current Droid 2, including WVGA+ resolution, 512MB of RAM, and five-megapixel camera. So far we still have no information regarding the release of this model, or whether it will complement or simply replace the existing Droid 2.
In other, mostly unrelated news, hot chicks want to chat.
