The first LTE smartphone on Verizon still hasn’t been formally announced (just wait for the CES), but the HTC Thunderbolt isn’t hesitating to show itself off, appearing in twelve new high-resolution images.
The photoshoot is clearly a professional job, showing off the Thunderbolt’s expansive screen and its kickstand. Now we can see that underneath that kickstand is what appears to be a metal grill. While we’ve seen faux-speaker elements in phones before, it’s entirely possible that there’s an active one living down there, ready to give some extra audio “oomph” when propping the phone up to share a video with friends.
The “Google” on the kickstand is another unexpected find; maybe the company just wants to show off that the first LTE smartphone is running its OS? It’s certainly out-of-the-ordinary. We’ll be sure to update you with anything we learn from HTC and Verizon during the upcoming CES.
